Why we share our plans
Most companies keep their roadmap under lock and key. We are going to do the opposite: tell you what we are thinking about and ask you whether it is worth building.
Level AV exists for one very specific reason: work in the audiovisual sector is still coordinated with phone calls, scattered emails and spreadsheets. Every feature we have built so far came out of a conversation with someone in the sector: an integrator who kept losing delivery notes, a technician who was keeping their schedule in three places at once. That way of working has served us well, and we want to take it one step further.
That is why we are opening this section. Here we are going to talk openly about the ideas we have for the future of the platform. They are not promises or launch announcements: they are directions we believe in, explained together with the problem they solve and the reasoning behind them. At the end of every article there is a one click poll, anonymous, no sign up. Your vote tells us whether an idea matters to the people who actually do this work, or whether it only looks that way from where we sit.
Why do it this way? Because Level AV is a platform of two worlds: integrators and technicians. If we build with only one of them in mind, the product limps. And because the best product filter is not in our office: it is in the van, on site, and in the office where projects get planned. We would rather show a half baked idea and hear “this is no use to me” in time than build for six months in silence and get it wrong.
You will notice something: there are no dates here. No quarters, no “coming soon”, no launch calendars. That is deliberate. When a company promises dates, it ends up building to meet the calendar instead of to solve the problem. And when feedback tells us an idea matters less than we thought, we want to be able to change the order without breaking a single promise. What you will see is the real state of each idea: whether we are exploring it, already designing it, or building it. When something changes state, you will see it here before anywhere else.
You will also see real numbers in the polls. The percentages and the vote totals shown after you vote are the real ones, unretouched. If an idea has twelve votes, you will see twelve votes. We prefer an honest small number to an inflated one, because the signal is only worth something if it is clean.
What we are asking of you is small: read the ideas, vote on the one that hits close to home and, if any of them strikes you as nonsense, vote no. A clear “no” saves us months and frees up time to build what does matter. This section is our way of telling you that Level AV is not built behind closed doors. It is built with you.
